Jonas is the bassist of DARKEST HORIZON. Born in 1990 he started playing the guitar when he
was 8 years old. After 7 ½ years of practising the classical guitar he switched to the electrical guitar.
Later on he also played some drums and focused on his role as a bassist when he first joined
DARKEST HORIZON. Additional to his instrumental experience Jonas also started taking vocal
lessions in 2018, trained and coached by George Liszt and Linda Rocco.
His premiere influences on his bass techniques are bassists as Marco Hietala (Nightwish/Tarot) and Orion (Behemoth). His style ranges between fast picking, creating a „wall of sound“, and melodic runs, supporting the feeling of the particular song.
Jonas is, as well as Daniel and Olli, endorsed by Washburn Guitars and plays a Washburn Taurus T24. For the second album „AENIGMATA“ Washburn Guitars built a unique specimen of the T24, all in white and adorned with the DARKEST HORIZON Tribal, the T24-JH. This little beauty will step into the light of stages in late 2018.
